Storage facilities are places for keeping any materials which are considered worth keeping but need not be kept at hand. They can be self-owned, or leased to companies or individuals. This usage includes self-storage centers as well as off-site facilities and private sheds. Subsidiary storage space within regular usages (such as attics, basements, closets, and storage rooms) are not assigned this as a usage. Storage facilities are distinguished from warehouses in that they do not belong to the distribution cycle of goods. Items stored there are normally kept indefinitely or for purposes of convenience.
Space for holding materials which are not immediately needed.
