Fakten

  • This was the first skyscraper in Warsaw erected using "top-down" technology, whose implementation was directed by a Polish company – PIA Piasecki S.A.
  • The first five floors above ground were constructed at the same time that the five underground floors were being built.
  • During construction a 580-kilogram artillery shell from World War II was discovered 8 meters below ground level.
  • For fire security reasons one of the requirements for the tower's approval was a helipad on the roof.
  • Features a unique panoramic lift running at 2.5 meters per second inside a leaning glass shaft, which is tilted about 14 degrees.
  • The tower's form is a futuristic composition of several different shapes.
  • Because of its small plot, the building required a "top-down" construction method during the early stages of its construction in order not to damage the surrounding buildings.
  • With five underground floors and a foundation plate reaching 16.5 meters below ground level, this was the skyscraper with deepest underground extension in Poland until the construction of InterContinental Warszawa.
