Fakten

  • Doing the masonry work of a typical floor required four days during the construction phase.
  • The inner decorative elements are modeled on American designs from the 1920's and 30's, mixed with an influence of Chicago School architecture.
  • Warsaw Trade Tower has 34 full office floors.
  • As a result of different design way of each elevation, achieved however without upsetting compositional whole (as in Warsaw Financial Center), the main façade of the building is indistinguishable.
  • The building experienced a long initial period of high vacancy, with only one major tenant - KPMG - until the new owner took over the tower.
  • The base of Warsaw Trade Tower is a six-story podium with an enclosed atrium. Above towers the main solid topped by a 26-meter heigh spire.
  • Features one of the fastest evevators in Europe. Running at 7 meters per second they reach 41st floor, starting from -3 level, in 35 seconds.
  • On December 10, 2002 Warsaw Trade Tower was purchased by Apollo-Rida Poland Sp. z o.o. from Warsaw Trade Tower Dae-Pol Sp. z o.o. for over $100 million, the largest purchase transaction ever in the Polish real-estate market.
  • Holds Poland's tallest title for highest occupied floor. All other records are held by Palace of Culture and Science, except for highest number of floors, held by InterContinental Warszawa.
  • Elevator interiors are designed in a revival of the Art Déco style and the shapes of elevator buttons reflect plans of the tower's higher stories.
  • The tower was built as Warsaw Daewoo Center, but shortly after completion when The Daewoo Group underwent financial problems it was renamed Warsaw Trade Tower.
  • The tower's solid form has been emphasized by installation of new lighting systems, which strengthens its presence in the skyline at night.
  • Thanks to the new owner the interiors were reorganized, including relocation of the reception desk to the center of the lobby and implementation of new services for tenants.
