  • A 140 meter tall crane is being used on the demolition of the building, which technically is quite difficult.
  • The building's facade was refurbished in 2004, a new emergency stair was added and the top of the building was completely renovated.
  • During the renovation work a 3-floor black drape was hung on the facade in memory of the casualities from the 11 March 2004 terrorist attacks on Madrid.
  • This was the first skyscraper erected in Madrid's Azca area.
  • The building has a joined part of its subterranean structure with the nearby Corte Ingles shopping mall.
  • The building is scheduled to be demolished beginning March 2005 taking a period of no less than a year.
  • The evening of the 12th through the 13th of February, 2005, a fire on the 21st floor destroyed the upper third of the tower and a part of the building collapsed.
  • Demolition of the building began February 26, 2005.
  • Demolition works will cost 17.5 million euros and will last for aproximately 12 months.
