Kansas City Journal (newspaper), Milgram's Grocery General Offices
The undeveloped rough ground behind this building and the Plaza Hotel was known as
"Signboard Hill" for decades because it faced Union Station and was considered worthless
for other purposes. The property lay east of Main Street and south of Pershing Road..
The Kansas City Journal merged with the Post to become "The Kansas City Journal-Post."
However, the merged paper ceased publication entirely in 1942.
