  • The building has been placed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1989.
  • Initially, the building was a 4-story building; three more floors were added in 1915.
  • Portland-based developer, Robert Ball, purchased the warehouse in 1999.
  • During the 2001 renovation, a 65-feet by 65-feet atrium was created through the center of the top 5-floors.
  • The first two floors are used for parking.
  • The full block building was originally designed and registered as a warehouse.
  • The 2001 renovation cost was US $22,600,000.
  • The water tower, located on the roof was retained after the renovation; however, it is non-functioning.
  • In 1978, the Coast to Coast Hardware Company sold the warehouse to Layton Creations Co.
  • The added atrium includes a water feature that uses a section of the original box chute from the ex-warehouse.
