  • Originally, the tower was called the 3rd Nameless (Bezymyannaya) Tower.
  • In 1812, the tower was blown up by French invaders.
  • It was renamed from The 3rd Nameless to Ugreshskaya after the Kremlin’s monastery of the same name.
  • Originally, the tower was built in the 1480s.
  • it was reconstructed in 1819 under the supervision of Osip Beauvais.
  • The tower is located at the southern part of The Kremlin Wall between The Water Supplying Tower and The 2nd Nameless Tower.
